Bullshit Marty,  Gooch is still a class act but theres a better class of defender marking him in the big games, whether it be Mc Menamen, Mc Guckin, they can handle him fairly well but he can still inflict pain as can they.  Its easy to look fine against Mayo Cork or Dublin backs, tough against more disciplined tighter markers though.

Playing for Kerry, he wasnt been as good, he was untouchable before.

Just look at last year, it was Donaghy that got Kerry out of every single problem, not Gooch.

I have to agree with this assessment by RRHF - Gooch gave virtuoso displays in Croker last year and as we all know there' some difference between Kerry in Croke Park and Parnell Park !!!!
