I'd agree the Galway lad Hanley looks a great!

Yeah he seems to be coming on well. Held Paddy Bradley scoreless from play (granted the service into Bradley was curtailed that day) and done a pretty good job on Donaghy last weekend (even though he slipped up once which presented Donaghy with a goal chance). He's still young but he's got a lot of good attributes for a full-back. He's got size and is reasonably quick over the turf. Just needs experience now as his reading of the game is improving all the time.

Leitrim's John McKeon, only true full back in the country.  I dare any top forward to play opposite him.

i agree mckeon is good, great feilder of high ball. not best in counrty doe. in sligo noel Mcguire (captain) is full back but plays midfield alot for his club. he still plays well there for sligo and the full back line in general is our best line. suppose FB line is leitrims best too? was a few years ago anyway. mayo full back seems to change. suppose mckeon and hanely best in connaught??
full backs are different now because game has changed so much, game is far faster. also the ball used to be hit in high from alot further out years ago, full backs need to be more agile now and quicker over the ground. the likes of donaghy is a disaster to play against cause he is a towering man but very mobile aswell. takes a hell of a FB to stop him
