Promoters MCD have offered new tickets to 40 fans from Belfast who had to abandon theirs when their bus travelling to the venue caught on fire on the M50 this afternoon just after the Finglas exit.
Eh, how many would have had their tickets in their pocket/wallet? I doubt too many tickets were going up in smoke.
Goes to show how many unsold tickets are still floating around.

Now that really is a shame. Much more so than the tricolours.

I dunno if it is worse - it is certainly equally pathetic

No, it is worse. For a start, the people who are burning the flags may not feel Irish, but they are from Fermanagh.  Secondly, i always thought that towns like Enniskillen were a bit less divided than others. I know there were plenty of Protestants who supported Fermanagh during their successes of recent years.

What part of Enniskillen? I'm from the town myself and always felt a sense of pride at how well everyone gets on but unfortunately there seems to be a small number of idiots from several areas in the town who seem hell bent on putting flags up to mark the area as one side or the other despite the good work of representatives of both sides to keep flags to a minimum.

Ye see, haven't we been trying to tell them that that style of football doesn't win many admirers ;)
