Jesus Collins was awful, Michael McBride took a blow to his head when he went to pick up the ball, next thing hop ball and i think kerry got a score from it.
McGuikins dispossession was first class on scanlon i think
He shudnt have let that ruck develop in the box either, no.13 for kerry was kickin out at sum1 lyin down too.

Derry played well, it was always an uphill struggle against the wind with a man down hopefully we can take the positives from it

Watched this match on TG4 (car up for MoT so no way of getting to Salthill) and have to say Collins did the London boys no favours whatsoever ... thought he was brutal ... but he was brutal in the Ulster Final replay in 2005 and I don't remember too much sympathy from the Derry direction ... SAYING THAT, AND THIS GALLS ME, Derry were hard done by, and kerry were very cynical ... which i'd have no problem with if their former managers and newspaper-column writing former players  didn't whine so much about us and Armagh being cynical

Derry failed to take their scores - mark lynch messed up big time kicked several wides plys going to wrong way against the goal keeper. Brings back memories of Dublin - after whelan decked him - mark did not want to know. McEdowney is a liability in a Derry jersey - deserved to walk - the sooner we get someone else in the better!

Kildare, Galway and Tyrone to be all roasted by Derry ;D

That's right, you heard it here first  ;)

Surprised at the number of complaints about referee M Collins... was expecting at least three times as many!
Carlsberg don't do Gombeenocracies, but by jaysus if they did...

The referee was woeful, but sure what's the point in complaining when no-one listens.
We still could have won the game even with the bad refereeing but we didnt, no-one to blame for that but ourselves. Paddy Heaney had a good article in the IN yesterday saying that Derry have the players and the skill, they just need the motivation from the manager and some self belief. I think there is something in that and until we get that motivation to win an AI and the belief that we have the "right" to win every match then I fear we will see more days like the Kerry game.

Hopefully a successful run to the knock out stages of the league would do that, but we have to win at least 3 more games I reckon for that to happen.
