Im heading over to London at the weekend for the carling cup final. It doesnt look as if i have any chance of getting a ticket so I was wondering where the best place to watch the match would be? Is it worthwhile heading over just to watch the match in a bar?

The sports cafe at trafalgar square is big, has a shed load of TVs and does food etc. You will def get an atmosphere, but with spursV Chelsea it isnt always healthy

Would it be advised not to wear any club colours then? Would there be much trouble about after these games?

If thats the only reason for going over I cant see why you would bother.
Why not watch it in a bar at home. Then travel over to a game you can get tickets for?

If your only heading over in the hope of sampling some atmosphere, your wasting your time(and Money) IMHO

Fair point rua,

bars round wembley arn't great to put it mildly

come over and head to the walkabout shepherds bush and watch the cricket on the big screen and drink snake bite all day

you will have a much more enjoyable experience

The Gunners bar would be a good place for you to watch the match in Micky...lol

Yeah, Wembley is in a dive of an area. Cheers bar in Picadily is pretty good, saw the Superbowl there last year, had a great time. They'd more than likely be showing the game.

as for wearing jersies, its not as bad as it was, but i'd still be careful it only takes 1 or 2 nut-cases to start something. Depending on who you support you might wanna choose your location for drinking.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

I would def avoid the centre of London if you have colours. There is a real hate/hate relationship between Spurs and Chelsea, more so than with Chelsea and any other side to be honest.

I'd find a Spurs boozer near the Lane and watch there if I were you.
