Unfortunately yes. Never liked it and only went there on the odd occasion.

HAve to say Omagh is pretty poor for bars and clubs for such a big town. Friday nites are more or less dead in the town.

Hopefully when Sallys re-opens it should have a good front bar.

I was one of the rare ones gaoth. I went to a hedge school 10 miles away from omagh. Omagh friends called me a culchie, and the country boys called me a townie.


St endas went to belfast one day to play rossa in a "friendly". The omagh boys were shell shocked when the city boys started calling us culchies and sheep shaggers! :D

I like Rue and The Oystler's Arms down Main Street. Once they get the nightclub opened, it should be good. But yes, you're right, Omagh is a very poor town to go out in... and very young.
