Bit harsh on Kenas he has done ritely this year. couple more newcastle players! M Owen wouldnt be far off this team.

Are you the guy who was telling lads not to be biased when voting for worlds best player before? 

yea i was only joking with the team to see how long it would take smeone to pick up on it... 

but remeber united had 8 in the team of the year last year,,,

in all seriousness though there has been a high level of football played so far this season with some players making a name for themselves one that i don't think has been mentioned yet is benjani who is firing them in and also richard dunn is the backbone of man city. he puts in about 5 match saving tackles a game.. and adebayor and flamini have to go down as the two most improved players this year. Last year they had touches like elephants and now the are playing great football as much as it pains me to say it...... also don't think fabregas is excelling they way it looked like he was going to at the start of the season

Fabregas is probably playing pretty well still, but he's not firing in goals every week like he was at the start of the season, which may be why he doesn't stand out so much (he was injured for a little while too, wasn't he?). There is no way a midfield player can keep up that rate of scoring over a season (Ronaldo is a freak in that respect!).

Jenas should certainly not be on the worst 11, but Dirk Kuyt should be a definite starter.

That is correct. Fabregas is not a current top midfielder, not since he was injured.

Some of those teams are strange as feck! I never get involved in picking All Star teams. In my view they are nonsense.

It took a wee while for you all to start picking the 'odd' Chelsea player. ildanach being the first to identify the fantastic Belletti! However it's been a strange year for the Blues. We're in Feb and competing for the quadruple, yet it's difficult to pick out the players who are standing out. The long term absence of Drogba, Lampard and Terry means that the 'untouchables' tag has been derailed.

For me the best players from Chelsea this year have been Alex, Carvalho, Beletti and Obi Mikel, but I can understand how it would be hard to justify inclusion in a prem 11.
