full back my insurance was £325 last year and i put my details onto elephant and they came up with the cheapest of about £360 but they told me to try confused.com which i did and Endsliegh came up with a figure for £256 now i'm talking about a 2.0l Avensis D4D here not a mini metro. In fairness i have about 8 years no claims bonus but still give it a try and see

Depends on age but Quinn Direct are hard to beat for insuring young drivers!!! They'll even take on a maggot like me who wrecks everthing he gets his hands on...  ;D

Try going back to your insurance company online and try getting a new quote as a new customer. Some insurance companies will ofer a better new customer quote than their renewal quote. Nothing like rewarding loyality!!  :-\

The squinted eye

Last three years in a row i have got my renewal quote off FBD, i dont even ring anyone else, ring them two days later and say Quinn Direct beat them by 150 but i am happy with them and would like them to keep my business, they have matched or beaten it every time. Damn tax is what is killing me now, should never have got a 2 litre gas guzzler but alas I was recently made single at the time which is always a killer when it comes to buying cars

Try Caulfields of Cookstown on their website , we recently got a reduction from £918 to £645 on Golf 1.6 FSI with an 18 year old driver included.  Changing from Allianz with CJ Higgins to AXA with Caulfields.  Adding a 17 year old son will being it back to £1000.  Not bad given the young drivers.

This crowd were for me the best quite by far.  My renewal quote from hughes n co was £650, tried caulfied and got a quote of £275.  Rang hughes' and they dropped the price after a five minute wait.  It just goes to show how much they're actually making

Forgot to mention that hughes sent me a letter that if they can't beat my new quote by £30 they will give £30 for my troubles. And i can't see them beating £256.06 by £30 so send me the cheque please
