Our neighbours house was burned over the christams and the cause of it was the tumble dryer was left on

Was there no timer on it to stop it when it was finished?

There is also a certain risk of lightning induced power surges in these storms.

Mind you it is good to have a sense of proportion, a friend of mine helped me plug out things when we were off on an overseas junket  many moons ago, he kindly plugged out the fridge. Cue odd smell on return and bollocking from me, next year I checked the fridge was plugged in and went to the car. Mr safety thought he had forgotten something, so he went back in, and unplugged the fridge again.

don't know LL but the insurance company want to know what clothes were been dried at the time when it was last serviced ? How often did they clean the filter, they put on a load at night and luckily they managed to escape, they had to crawl on their hands and kness to get one of the lads out, it happened on christmas eve but at least everyone is ok

I felt a sensation, I silly me thought it was a presence in the room.

I'd be lying in my bed, and I would think someone would sit on the bed and rub my head.

Scared the bejaysus out of me.

Now all I'm getting from it, is frickin' static electricity. Nearly blew the hand off me today.

Plus 15mins ago, my bedroom door slammed shut. No-one in the room and there's no draught.
