Bobby Robson tribute was a nice touch and maybe Fergie has forgiven the BBC as i was surprised he turned up last night let alone present the award.
I don't think even Fergie is that bitter.  It was a very touching moment when Bobby Robson recieved his award.  A hugely popular figure.

One observation though, what the fcuk is going on with Lennox Lewis?  He is slowly morphing into Stevie Wonder.

:D :D  Noticed that myself.

Well thats a relief. According to Solomon Kane, you have to actually know David Healy to appreciate that he has a personaility.

Thanks for putting words in my mouth, but that's not what I said. You seem to be sure he has no personality. I have met him but wouldn't say I know him. He is not outgoing and is very modest, but that doesn't mean he has no personality. But then, what would I know? I'm sure you know better Orior.

Lets face it. Steve Beacom is so far up David Healy arse he can see David's tonsils. Every fecking week Beacom writes in the belfast telegraph about how Healy is gonna do this, that or the other. And every week Healy warms the bench until 15 mins to go, then plays shite.

And that say's what about his personality exactly?

I'm not going to say anything about David's personality. I don't know the man and I doubt I ever will, but I've no reason to doubt he hasn't got a good personality.

However Solomon, you know as well as anyone, the Personality of the Year Award isn't awarded to sport's people with outstanding personalities. It's for achievements in the year.

I say either call the award "Individual Sports Achievment of the Year Award" or actually award it on the basis of personality.

And just even things up Solomon, because you have to in the region of the UK / Ireland *..

Orior you shouldn't be making remarks about David's personality as you don't know the man and have no idea what his personality is.

Fair points indeed Ziggy all round. The guy seems to be a decent spud, and to my knowlege has said or done nothing to offend anyone with any wit. Just because someone has a problem with a team he plays for or what that represents to them doesn't make him any less of a person. IMO when he is accepting awards in Belfast or Dublin, or the upcoming award form UEFA, Fearon's or Orior's jaded comments won't really ruin the occasion for him or anyone else. They sure as hell haven't put any sort of a dampener on the good times he has given me. Should he never kick a ball again, he will always be a hero to me as the most prolific ever striker in Irish international football. ;D

Healey is a big fish in a small pond. whenever he is thrown into a river hes up shit creek without a paddle.
