Well lads, the countdown is on in earnest now. 33 days by my reckoning. Hopefully the Dolphins and Giants will have a couple of wins under their belts by then so that the game truly is meaningful.

Who from here is going? I know Turk, LoneShark and Myself are all heading over. I thought I saw SuperDuperCooper and SammyG as well were heading?

Should be a good night out.Has anybody got their tickets yet?

AZOffaly

I think they are being posted 10 days before the event. I hope that is 10 WORKING days beforehand. Some of them tickets have to find their way to Tipperary.

Anyone trying to head to the tailgate party?

I see BBC have the rights to show it live.

I wonder who they will have in the studio.

Where did you hear that? I'd be surprised if they've got it as Sky have a contract for all regular season matches.

AZOffaly

I think you might be mixing it up with the Superbowl? SammyG, where are you staying over there? We must meet up for a pint.

Sorry, I am wrong on that one. I heard a couple of weeks back that the BBC deal included the Wembley game live but after reading the NFLUK site I have been mis-informed.

Just in case anyone is interested, I got this email last night, 1,000 tickets on ticketmaster this morning if anyone is interested.

One of your final opportunities to get tickets for the historic regular-season game between the Miami Dolphins and New York Giants at Wembley Stadium on Sunday October 28th will come this Friday September 28th, with a limited general admission sale through Ticketmaster.

From 10am (UK time) on Friday you can get your tickets by clicking here to go to the Ticketmaster website.

You could be part of a packed-out Wembley Stadium joining fellow NFL fans to create an incredible atmosphere and watch this historic event, which will feature two of the NFL's best known teams battling it out for a crucial win as the NFL 2007 season reaches its halfway point.

Whether or not you registered your interest in buying tickets earlier in the year, this sale is open to you, so if you have missed out and still want to come to be a part of the hottest sporting event of the year, make sure you are ready to get online and buy your tickets from 10am (UK time) on Friday morning.

There will be very few tickets available – a maximum of 1,000 in the sale on Friday – so make sure you are ready to beat the rush. To get a head start ensure you have a Ticketmaster account already set-up. You can do so by clicking here.

There will also be an extremely limited number of tickets available via the Ticketmaster website in the lead up to the game as we get returns and cancelled tickets back. Please keep an eye on Ticketmaster's NFL Wembley page to catch one of the final tickets on sale.

Tickets for the game will be sent to you in early-to-mid October. Please be advised that a strict no duplicate ticket policy applies to this match. Therefore, the NFL will not replace tickets that have been successfully distributed and delivered, but subsequently lost, stolen or destroyed.

Please note that any tickets from this sale that are found to be on eBay or similar ticket touting websites will have their sale cancelled, and made available to genuine fans.

QuoteWell lads, the countdown is on in earnest now. 33 days by my reckoning.

Arah Jaysus AZ, you should be heading to Pearse Park on Sunday for possible history in the making (hopefully).  As my missus (very helpfully) keeps pointing out, Mayo have won a Mens Senior All Ireland since Colmcille last won a Senior County Title.

Is Balboa not going?

Yes nrico, Balboa will be there, bringing the Missus, she is a lucky lady in so many ways......

The Iceman

I was at the giants and Green Bay two weeks ago - they were terrible.  I hope it isn't like that for you lads.

The whole experience actually made me homesick - 77,000 people and no atmosphere, no passion, no team spirit - just a bunch of over-paid ego-maniacs and the odd sportsman playing for a pay cheque.

Nothin like Croker, nothing even like Clones for a local rivalry.

I think I'll watch it on TV for now on.
I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight
