Brolly on Conor Mort in Gaelic Life

Brolly was commenting on the recent Mayo Derry match. This is way over the top imho:

Sure Conor had a poor game but this type of shite is way over the top, even for Brolly. I've always taken what he says with a pinch of salt but this time he has gone too far imho

ya brolly takes the easy option and gets personnal with his remarks, thats not right making remarks like that about any amateur player no matter who he is, sure he described McDonald and Mort as swiss maids a few years ago, they are stupid comments..

We shouldnt even talk about it as this is what he wants people talking about him!!

Not too far off the mark IMO. Mortimer is not in that top drawer of Cooper, Brogan, O'Neill or McDonnell, he has gone AWOL a few times. Brolly can be an annoying arse - no doubt about that.

I wouldnt say he is the best around but an all star and top scorer in last years championship puts him above "no good anyway" $:-\$

Brolly is very eloquent - good at his job - and is effective - that's why we're all talking about Brolly and not about anybody else !

That was at half time in the Galway Mayo Connacht semi, Galway were ahead at half time and had gone into a 1-4 to 0-0 lead after 10 minutes. Mayo dominated the second half and won by five or six with both Mac and Mort kicking some class points. . that shut Joe up fairly lively

I agree with what Brolly says but I also agree there is no need to get insulting about it. I seen mortimor against Cavan this year. Only scored from play when the game was over and barely touched the ball up to that. Kicked a couple of frees from in front of the posts and turns around to the crowd, arms outstretched, begging applause. Not anywhere near the top forwards and a poor attitude to boot.
