I think mcstay is a good co-commentator, miles better than carney he is useless, he hasnt a clue whats happening half the time, i seroiusly dont like bernard flynn, he is not up to it at all

Its one of the greatest mysteries of our time, how so much can have changed (for the better mostly) with our great association and the coverage from the national broadcaster surrounding it, and that gobshite is still the main voice of the big days. He is so clueless/useless and has been since for over 20 years that its absolutley amazing hes still there. He definetly must have the naked pictures locked away somewhere.

I agree, your reverence. I also share the consensus that Dara is a real asset as an analyst. He's in the Michael Duignan mould - cliche-free, knowledgeable, considered and doesn't say anything that doesn't add value and insight to the discussion.

Then, just for balance, you have Tony Davis, Kevin McStay, Bernard Flynn. Paul Curran and, God help  us, Martin Carney, whose every observation is misguided and every prediction almost immediately contradicted by events.

I dont mind Bernard Flynn, he seems ok.  I would love to see Pete Mc Grath on.

Flynn and Curran add very little.  McGrath is Fr Brian's sidekick on radio and is full of the old 'come all ye' all is well / everybody might have a chance cliches.  I think McStay is fine but Carney is painful - did anyone see his interview on the pitch during the Six O'Clock News on Saturday - big gombeen grin on him with all the ussually cliches - 'you were great Marty, how was I'? Lyons is a pain. Davis bearable,

O'Rourke is good. Brolly can be an annoying p***k sometimes, but he does actually know stuff. Tohill is good if a little too serious sometimes.  O'Cinneide is very good but let's not forget that he is a professional journalist and broadcsater - that is his day job too!!
