Laois man

Rathdowney/Errill have a good second team aswell.

''Might be no relagation a second team could win the Premier intermediate, 😂''

Its a possibility to be fair.

In Kildare football the second teams play in their own division called reserves, suppose they would have the population for it?

wonder would it be a good option here or is laois hurling pool too small for it? it would give clubs who's first team is PI or Intermediate a fair chance of wining silverware. it can be unfair when a second team is strong at the beginning of championship and gets slightly weaker as the championship goes on due to losing players to the first team.

Just putting it out there is all. thoughts?

Verbal

I don't think we have enough clubs for it.

I think we would have a larger number of very small competitions. 3 or 4 teams only in some of them.

I think the second teams should be kept in the same competition if you cant beat a second team do you really have an argument to say you should be senior

Yeah i get what you're saying and its a valid point. I suppose what i mean is if a senior clubs 2nd team is premier intermediate ok, but if a senior clubs 2nd is intermediate, junior A or Junior B i don't think its overly fair on club who's 1st team is intermediate, Junior A or B is all.

This year Junior A it happens to be it is solely made up of 2nd or 3rd teams, so we kinda have it in place  ;)

Laois man

Second teams in offaly and waterford have won there intermediate or senior B the last few years to go senior but they already have a senior team.
