Does Dick's retirement  leave Cavanagh the longest serving county outfield player in Ireland left. Assuming the goalies will have years left in them. Some service from them all. Delighted that Clarke got his Allstar.

I think I heard that a Sligo player whose name escapes me is now the longest serving.
Owen Roe O'Neills GAC, Leckpatrick, Tyrone

Mark Brehony started out in 2000 with Sligo.

I would say Fermanaghs Ryan McCluskey must be up there as well.
Wanted.  Forwards to take frees.
Not fussy.  Any sort of ability will be considered

Couldn't stand him in those few years under Banty when Monaghan used to batter us. Comes across as a bright fella any time I've heard him on the wireless. Think he's one of those annoying/delusional Liverpool fans on twitter like Stevie McDonnell.

I think there's still a valid fatal fatwa issued against Dick by the Cavan horde

Spoke well on off the ball the other evening. You could tell the last game v Longford where he didn't get a run out hurt him.

macdanger2

Yeah, was v good on OTB. You could tell he took great pride in representing Monaghan. Very good footballer and seems like a nice fella. Best of luck to him

Good lad. Played with him in the (now pretty distant) past at uni (well, he played, I trained!  ;D)

Although all this talk makes me feel right and old now!  :-[

Happy retirement big fella!
