Actually you might be on to something.

Maybe the All-Stars could be for the All-Ireland series and there could be an awards scheme for players within each provincial championship, which would exclude those who had won All-Stars that year?

The Bearded One

We have the Irish News All Stars in Ulster, 8 of this years winners have been nominated for All Stars
It is what it is. Presumably.

A newspaper. We have that stuff everywhere. It's the GAA that needs to be doing it to have any real credibility historically.

The All Stars are for the BEST players of the year, tends to be the ALL Ireland winners and semi finalists. Might be a touch top heavy but rewarding the also-rans is very american participation-award like. lets get on to next year.

The all stars are for the players on the best teams.
Cavan and Ros and Kildare have won very few in the last decade. Does that mean they had no top notch players?

Itchy

The all stars is a load of crap unless you believe that off all the players in Ireland, 90% of the best 15 come from two teams which happen to contest the final. I think another 15 could be picked that would beat the all star team.

Ohtoohtobe

I'll give it a go (didn't see as much football as I usually would this year though)
