Not sure you're comparing like with like here

Are we judging party leaning by their titles?

It is FFs destiny to solider in the 6 counties.
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

SDLP lost its left leanings when Paddy Devlin left.Dr Joe Hendron, three jobs John Hume and Dr Alistair Mc Donnell (he with the biggest domestic rates bill in the North) are hardly left leaning.

Reading that, they certainly sold that lad out. But it is still a jump from there to 'they sold the north out'.

Especially considering their subsequent refusal to extradite Brendan Smyth ( presumably to avoid charges of selling out), which caused the collapse of a FF led Government.

I think you can't isolate the issue.
At the time this was an international issue that was about more than just extradition.
The H Block campaigns, the Hunger strikes, the prison break and the elections of anti-H Block candidates.
These were all part of the same issue. Add to that the brutality of the British prison system in Ireland and this was a massive decision by FF.
I've no doubt it was not taken lightly but ultimately and all things considered including Dublin's (economic) relationship with London, this is the decision they made.

I see this type of decision and the constant denial of collusion coupled with the inclusion of northern reps. in section 31 as sell out. There must have been something on offer for FF to enable and support British brutality in Ireland.

Shamrock probably won't deny any of this but make generic references around it.
I can't deny these facts and I believe they were immoral decisions.

I think Shamrock thinks this too but the benefit (whatever that might be) out weighs the moral argument and it's easier to swallow by pretending it didn't happen.

The SDLP are more to the left than SF are, I can tell you that.

You just have, good work.

Hard to know if SF and SDLP are "left".  We only know when they are in government .

I imagine the SDLP are very worried that FF are carrying through with their plans. FF should be able to scoop up a lot of the dwindling SDLP vote.

You would hope the voting public would see FF for what they really are. They have zero interest in the people over the border.

Maybe they'll get the likes of Wicklow ex-chairman Stephen Kearon will spearhead the drive. He just loves the nordies.

The reason behind this is simple.

Get SF talking about the north. In media interviews and anchored debates bring up this topic and have SF talk about the north.
Once SF are in the south talking about the north they are losing.

That's as far as this idea by FF goes.

Indeed I'd hope the voting public would see the online activities of various Shinners and then see them for what they really are.
