Is there a list anywhere of the songs that might be suitable for a Primary school child to sing at Scor na bPaisti or can you suggest songs please.

1.     The song being sung must be of the history of Ireland, its people, places and folklore or of the history, people, places and folklore of the country of birth/origin of the competitor.

2.   Provided a competitor sings a song as defined above, adjudication will be on the standard of singing, not on the selection of the song.

As Scór na bPáisti only runs within the county the rules are not as tight as in Scór na nÓg. Any song of an Irish flavour will do - usually one learned at school. Keep it simple and suitable for a young singer. If the singer is an imigrant they can sing a song from their country of origin but it must be in English or Irish.
