The community spirit in Ponytzpass is even better.Ive seen the village festooned in red white and blue buntings for July 12th and a day or two later these were replaced by the orange and White of Armagh ahead of a big game in Croke Park.
That must be going back a bit

Now that is below the belt, lol.

So their side puts up their flags and bunting for their culture and a week later our side puts up theirs..and you think this is an example of cross community spirit.

Lunatic.

Actually it is a very good example.

In all other towns or villages of the north the Unionist bunting is up for the whole of July. On that particular occasion in Poyntzpass the unionist flags were taken down after the 13th for the specific purpose of letting the Armagh flags go up the next day.

Many of the people of the Orangemen that I've spoken to were just as excited about Armagh's adventure as we were.

Sadly, if we are waiting on Armagh to provide a better community spirit then perhaps the sitation is indeed hopeless.

Isn't Poyntzpass near the border with Down? Maybe they could put up a few Down flags.  Although there's probably less chance of Down success than Armagh at the minute. And that's saying something!
