Started going grey at the ripe old age of 16. Mates used to slag away at me and at times I hated the fact I was going grey so young.  Over 20 years later my mates are all bald and I've a full head of grey/black hair!

I wouldn't know, I've never had much traffic on the outside of my head. But each to their own.

I'm sure it suits you.

A mate used to say his impending baldness was due to him having more testosterone than others. How I mocked him then  :'(

Was always told it is inherited on your mother's side. You will take after your maternal grandfather. Not sure how true it is but looking round at my mother's family it seems to hold up. Sons of the girls going bald, sons of the boys not so much as they are getting it from their mother's genes.

Ah, it's muck really! You take more notice of a lad who is bald when his father isn't and vice versa. So the obvious person is to look to is the Mammy! And you can throw any theory in there because the Mammy naturally won't be bald and you'll probably know feck all about the Maternal Grandfather.

Maybe I am blaming him in the wrong then. I had it coming at me from both sides. Always liked to say my hair was jumping rather than going grey. The few I have held their colour.

My maternal grandfather was as bald as a coot so maybe there is something in it.
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

It doesn't surprise me that some of you have lost it. I haven't.
I wonder what the proportion is. Is it 50/50?

The brother is bald as a bat while I have a full head of hair. Costs me more as I have to get it cut every third week.
