Another absolutely mental incident. Cops responding to a domestic were ambushed by a guy with an AR15 , facts arent clear but cops went in cautiously with drones etc.

Killed three of them and injured two. Utter insanity. What society can absorb such a high cost over some dumb domestic dispute and pay with 3 lives?

Respectfully disagree. If you get past the bag he has very insightful views and really interesting guests and subjects. He sees the world for what it is and does not sugar coat things. What I like most about his stuff is when he talks about the longer history of here and our mythology. Fascinating stuff.

Seems like MAGA is going on full denial mode that the shooter was one of them. Jimmy Kimmel has been canceled for saying he was one of them. Here's what he said:

"The MAGA Gang (is) desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it," Kimmel said. "In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving."

Nothing inaccurate there, but his show has been pulled just for speaking the truth. They've threatened to pull ABC's license over it.

Oh and today I had a little call from HR to warn me that someone is watching me on Twitter. They reviewed my comments on Twitter and found that I'm not in violation of any policies and didn't say anything inappropriate, so I'm not in trouble.

But here we are. This is Orwellian stuff.

I say a lot of things on Twitter, most of it about cycling and bike lanes and the like. I posted a few things about the Kirk business, mostly saying the the shooter was right wing.

Eamonn I've said this before - you are the radical part of the left. You are not wrong in many of the things you say and advocate for but you and those like you are not helpful to forward momentum in a positive direction considering the starting point. Massive shifts of perspective are not going to steady this sinking ship because they are not possible. Incremental gains are constantly shot back by this California massive attitude.

Christ it's depressing out here.
