The point that "Up for the Match" is worn out has been well made.I would contend that so is RTE placing cameras and Michael Lyster at the winning team's banquet, and interrupting the celebrations mainly to hear ecstatic players and managers,in many cases well on the way to intoxication, self praise each other and wax lyrical about how they nearly jacked it in six months ago etc.Nothing coherent or of substance is said, and the scheduling of the TV slots probably interrupts the natural flow of the celebrations.

No matter, Tyrone will come along next year and do things right.
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

? How? Sure Mickey won't even talk to RTE when he's not eating! ;D

What's seldom is wonderful - completely agree Tony, it's a waste of cameras.

Do TV3 get  the loser's dinner?
I have more respect for a man
that says what he means and
means what he says...

This might be the first year the banquet provides more entertainment than the match
