Attention Mayo Supporters

In 1999 Ballina Stephenites played Crossmaglen Rangers in the AI Club final. A group of Ballina people with various percussion instruments and drums played and rattled out a continuous rhythm from the Hill. One of the most annoying things to ever have to encounter during a tense match. I was on holidays lately and a lad from Crossmaglen who i met talked of that day and how annoying even in victory that rhythm was.

They weren't from Ballina, arty-farty mob from Galway, can't remember the name of the group, they do festivals and the like and that's what they were promoting that day.

When I saw the heading of this tread I was fully expecting this to be a call for all Mayo supporters to end the pathetic whining and face the reality that they simply were not good enough to win Sam in over sixty years.
