In fairness if it wasn't for the Ulster championship I think they'd have done away with the provincials years ago. Leinster was competitive at one stage and remains interesting as theres 12 teams in it. Munster is a farce and as much as it pains me Connacht isn't far ahead. Just look at the 1st round fixtures in Ulster this year, very very competitive
Galway/London v Sligo and Roscommon v Leitrim will also be very competitive. Mayo are well ahead of the rest in Connacht its time for the others to improve and catch up.

I predict Ros to give Mayo a right lash in Hyde Park this year.
Inaugural Football Championship Prediction Winner.

Hardly a sensational prediction with Ross u.21s in AIF!

There is no such effin thing as a "Connaught" Championship.
For the umpteenth time to someone on this board it's
CONNACHT.
OK.

Calm down Rossfan...we all know the bleddy Brits put Munster, Ulster, and Leinster on  the other 3 provinces, when they came to us, they called us Connaught. But we rather the Gaelic version Connacht.

It's still a horriblly stupid corruption of the proper spelling. Almost all professional sources use the Irish version in place of the corrupted version. In football and sporting terms there's no such thing as 'Connaught' anyways.
My apologies. I will edit. There was no harm intended. Excuse my ignorance, it was not out of badness.
Ye get nowhere with niceities round here, tell him to f**k off next time.

F**k off.

Under 21's (in present time) means nothing when it comes to Senior. Last year Galway won the Under 21 AI and got their asses whipped in Salthill by Mayo! If Ros do the business this summer it will be on their own bat. The only thing that an U-21 title would do would be to lift the support for the Senior team.

IF we bate Layhtrum I hope we can be competitive v Mayowestros in June.
Davy's given us a dream to cling to
We're going to bring home the SAM

In present time it doesn't mean alot however while Galway haven't got the best out of their U-21s so far it must be said Mayo have done fairly well with their 2006 U-21 winning team G Cafferkey, K Higgins; C Barrett, T Cunniffe, C Boyle; S O'Shea, B Moran;, M Conroy, E Varley all established seniors now. James Horan had that strong base to work from he put structures and systems in place that made Mayo seniors difficult to beat and from it they became All Ireland contenders.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose
