Great player especially in the early/ mid 00's. Some engine on him and really deserved more than he got.

Did Ederney win much during his time? Think I can remember them in a final but don't think they won.

Fantastic player.  Had he played for a more successful county he would have been a high profile star of the game.  Kept going for Fermanagh through good days and bad.  A gent off the field too.

No got to a final and beat in Semi this year when they would have fancied reaching final.

Great, hard player. Feet not the best, scoring wise anyway, but had everything else. Not the tallest midfielder but could win a ball through timing and sheer strength. Ran in straight lines and people literally bounced off him. Put his body on the line in each match, taking hits like a rugby player, so much so that he naturally ended up injured as much as he did. He'd hit you hard and fair like a real man, not from behind like a sc**bag or hit you in the head with a hurl like a tr**p (reference Antrim Club GAA).

A great man, on and off the field, couldn't say a bad word about him. If we had more players with his respectful, committed attitude in Antrim we'd be going places.
"Cheeky Charlie McKenna..."

sammymaguire

Brilliant midfielder who left nothing behind him on the playing field and a well deserved All Star
DRIVE THAT BALL ON!!

superbad

One of the real gentlemen of GAA in Fermanagh and beyond.

That's some career alright, such a shame he doesnt have at least one provincial medal to show for his endeavour. Great player with a great attitude.
That was never a square ball!!
