If I was a betting man, I'd be putting money on Ciaran Fox . Manager of the minors in 2010. Nothing certain on on Dave Hare , if he's involved he wont be a water carrier again . Eugene Mc  likely to be involved somewhere , either remaining with U-21's or as part of senior management team . None of the outgoing Longford members of the management team will be involved in 2014.Went a bit overboard at the end , nearly as many "back room" members as players in the end . Minor manager also being sought with high expectations for next years team .

I would not want Connerton back. As panc56 has said been there, seen that.

I don't think the vacancy should be filled by a local lad although Fox and McCormack would possibly have the support of clubs and players.

I thought about the notion of a Carphone Dessie or Whelo appointment and I would think Whelan would be an interesting gamble.

Whelan would be interesting alright, he talks a good game anyway but with our "Centre of excellence" starting to be developed maybe we need to save on the expenses & milage!
