Heaviest hidings at county level

I was watching a repeat of the Kerry/Dublin 2009 game and was thinking of the worst inter-county hidings. I think there were a few in 2001.

Any over 20 points at inter-county level?

Was that a snippet from and interview Gormley gave this week ? 

Kerry hammering us in 2009, Tyrone hammering is in the rain....................and the Meath lads kicking the ball into the goal for fun

Still though the 2006 1 pt defeat to Mayo tops them all...........damn you to hell David Brady and your knee socks

Beating Kerry in 2001 is one of my earliest football memories (giving away my age now!), couldn't believe it at the time and I still can't believe it. Cheerio, Cheerio, Cheerio. That was some day. Then, more recently, beating the Dubs with 5 goals in 2010 and being at the canal end was probably my best single memory at Croke Park. Less significantly we demolished Louth in 2011 in an otherwise terrible year. Some of the beatings we shipped in the league in recent years were drastic as well. Tyrone 2012 and Cavan this year spring to mind.

I take it we're not counting Kilkenny football.

I understand from Syfeen that the heaviest future hiding at county level for this year will be handed out to Mayo when they face the colossus that is Roscommon in round 2 of the Connacht fuball.

It would be a pity if we had to give such a historic batin' to Galway instead, to be fair. We want those occasions to mean something, after all
