Former Donegal boss Declan Bonner could be primed for a return to inter-county management with Fermanagh.

Bonner is set to meet with county board officials this evening as Fermanagh seek to fill the vacancy left by Kieran Donnelly's resignation last month.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

He has it on very good authority that top manager in GAA is on 120,000 (assume its Jack). Next in line he says is on 100,000 who isn't even managing a team in the top 2 divisions (assume it Mickey).

Pat would have great insight with nephew playing for Kerry.  Cian O'Neill on the big bucks.  Prob referring to him. Jack doesn't get paid.

How do Gaels in Fermanagh feel about it?

I'd say in one way, they're happy they've got a manager. Especally one who knows the county football scene well enough. We all saw the mess in Derry this past 2/3 years with the search for a manager.

I think every county are after a top quality manager but, as we know, they're far and few between.

Fermanagh have got the job done relatively early which is a bonus.

On the people who aren't keen on DB, what were the options?

Fermanagh should be happy with it. He has been managing in Fermanagh so knows the club scene. Underage Fermanagh have been getting hammered on a regular basis. They need to get that sorted,as Bonner is just a short term solution.

Fermanagh underage has always been poor.
We have relied on St Michael's to produce players.
Been a serious drop off there since Dom retired.
St Michael's and the county board  have appointed a full time coach into St Michael's now so that should be a help.

Bonner is a good appointment.
There were 2 names nominated but it quickly became clear who the players wanted.
Knows the club scene after his 18 months with Erne Gaels.
Has won Ulster titles with Donegal.
Good experience behind him as well.

Kieran Mc Geeney ratified for another year with Armagh .

Just catching up on the Derry Gaels podcast today to hear Big Geoffrey Sean Dolans manager left their match before extra time started to manage the Ballinascreen camogs, sounds like a Justin McNulty type problem could have done with a helicopter to scoot him over the Glenshane  :D

Who would be the up and coming club managers at the minute?

It is what it is. Presumably.

Dirty turncoat never liked him anyway...

All the best to Star, some great memories from his time with Armagh. Will always be held in high regard by everyone up here.
