Boring title of the year award - but the busy people at CRO are away home for the day and I have a very quick question - is there anywhere on the CRO website which explains what are the filing requirements (signatures etc.) for an audited charity (or any type of company for that matter). I know all of the Act requirements but we had a set of accounts rejected today becuase 'the profit and loss account has not been signed'. Now I honestly don't know the last time I had a P&L account (even though in this case it was a SOFA) signed, being used to UK requirements may have left me ignorant in the ways of our Southern brethren, but I couldn't find any of the helpsheets which stated such obvious things such as 'sign the fecking balance sheet in blank ink' etc.

Just so as I don't make the same mistake again, like.

Bingo

Did you file an Abridged set of Financial statements? If so and assuming it meets the small company guidelines, you don't have to actually fill the P/L into them, just the balance sheet and related notes plus of course the Auditors report (which is also signed by 1 director and the sectreary as been a true version of auditors report) and Abridged Auditors statement.

If you sent the P/L , then yes it has to be signed but you should be obliged to just file an abridged set without the P/l.

It may be more complicated.

Is the company limited by guarantee? Was the last return late? Why file a P&L in not limited by guarantee?

I left you my phone number in the PM to call me.

Please do call me as I know these sort of things being in practice in Dublin. There can be no debate on what you can file for a company Limited by Guarantee. PL, balance sheet, cash flow statement......I've lost ye, haven't I!
