I of course refer to the erection of Welcome to Northern Ireland road signs erected yesterday on the Fermanagh border, two of which were hastiliy unerect this morning, caused by strong winds, according to the local Sinn Fein MLA.

Is there an alternative message such signs could convey, like "N.Ireland welcomes careful psychopaths" or "No Tolls Here!" perhaps?

What was wrong with them? Were they not in Ulster Scots?
