Folks, I am looking to get an i phone 4 or HTC android phone.  Which would be the better bet to go along with?  My mate showed me last night on his i phone 4 the Sky on the go ap which i was pretty impressed with.  Can you get that on the HTC?

I recently got the Samsung Galaxy S2, upgrading from an iPhone 3gs. I found the switch over to Android easy and I must say I prefer it for a number of reasons.

Androids fantastic, but so is IOS, just in different ways. With android the capablities are far greater and it is a lot more customizable, initially I had my Samsung setup in a similar way to the iPhone, but I have changed it to a new layout to suit the way I use my phone.

One thing IOS comes up trumps in my eyes is syncing contacts, music, pictures etc etc through itunes. It just seems a hell of alot simpler with itunes. While on android (with the galaxy anyway) there are various different apps/programs/methods available to sync your data between phone and computer that I don't know which method to use half the time. Though I haven't found any real complications, anytime I have wanted something on my phone I have got it without to much fiddling about. But I am still missing that one stop shop program which I had when using iTunes.

Basically, if your the sort of person who will fiddle with your phone, download some apps that may be of help, want to setup your phone in your own way and have a basic understanding of technology you will love android.
If you want the simple option, a top class phone, everything done for you, easy syncing, simplicity, go for the iPhone.

I prefer Android, simply because I can edit it to suit me, I download games that would cost a fortune on iTunes app market and I utilise the extra features on my phone. Though my girlfriend, for example, prefers Apple, because she just wants a top phone with some impressive features without having to do a thing. It's what you want out of your phone basically, you sort of have a blank canvas with Android and you can put your own touch on it, while IOS it is all done for you.
I intend to live forever. So far, so good.

Just got a new software upgrade and it's pretty slick. A lot better than the previous version I think. Hopefully this will make up for the suffering I have endured with this phone so far!

just got a Galaxy S2 handed to me today from work, ditching my iPhone 3GS and am on the lookout for something to copy my iTunes content onto the Galaxy S2. Did you find that one stop shop or is it gona be a copy and paste job for me?

Tried that. No luck. I can dial numbers and use touch screen etc just keyboard for text won't come up. Do you have any other ideas what might be wrong?
