Anyone been recently. I hear Buffalo Joes is no more, which is a shame, was a lively spot. I'm sure we'll find an alternative.

anyone recommend anywhere to stay in newcastle close to the city centre?

The Slieve Donard is a nice place, very close to the centre of Newcastle and offering beautiful views over the Irish Sea and the Mourne Mountains.
