A few wrong things here been thrown about. Population is around 55,000 max.
We did actually manage to win 2 games in the 90s basically thanks to that great Eire Og side...but at the time there was 2 prelim rounds for the weaker teams. So we destroyed Wexford 4-17 - 1-11 and then bet Wicklow in a great game 4-10 to 3-10. Ended up in Croke park v an unknown Meath side. There is a famous article from one of the papers that day saying Carlow will beat Meath, as they have an untried fb etc (Darren Fay) Ended up losing by 18 pts!! Meath went on to win All Ireland that year.

Great win we had v Louth, and Murphy came good at the right time after a poor enough display up to that. Thos Walshe was also bad...expect to see both play better next day.

This semi cud go horribly wrong for Carlow if we don't win midfield. Our defence is very young, and hasn't been tested by Louth. Don't forget this backline let Kilkenny score 3 goals. But I reckon we will dominate mf and if Ledger, Gannon and co get enough ball then we can make this interesting.

Overall I reckon Wexfords forwards will have too much for us, and will win a high scoring game.
As long as Carlow put up a big performance and run them close i'll be happy enough.
