The above is disengenuous at best re Abu Ghraib.  I used to get into serious arguments with a mate about his rabid anti-americanism and I used to always say to him give my the American idea of freedom any day over what the fascist shite that abounds in the middle east.  Syria being a prime example.

You could have used the same logic with respect to what went on in Castlereagh. "Cheer up, croppy, they have it worse in Pyongyang!"

I've as much experience of Castlereagh as I have of Pyongyang - same goes for 99% of northern Irish people I'd imagine.  But as we live in the free whest you hear about what went on in CR not so much PY.
