Cremation or burial or what?

I have been giving this a lot of thought lately. I heard of a boy in Killybegs and he asked to be left in a coffin in his attic as the worms are not as likely to be about there. I thought this is rather comforting knowing that you're dead but still amongst loved ones.

Where do people want to end up and is there a third option, maybe, chopped up and used as food for the third world? I thought of cremation but there's no coming back from that one at all. Burial seems ok but it's taking up a lot of space and with the earthquakes happening there could be horrible sights all over the country with bodies jerking all over the place.

"Cremation or burial or what?"
Hmmmm...
I dunno but I'll tell you what; to begin with. you can include me out where the first two are concerned.
As for the last one, I'd like to wait and see what what is going to be- if you get my drift.

The price of the ceremony should be sufficient.

Gerry Ryan: (during a discussion on whether people would like to be buried
or cremated when they die) - "Would you like to be buried or cremated?"
Caller: "Oh, buried Gerry."
Gerry Ryan: "And where would you like to be buried?"
Caller: "Up to me balls in Bibi Baskin!"

Number of cremations in NI 'set to double'

Belfast City Council has agreed to hire extra staff at Roselawn Crematorium in the city to allow more cremations to take place.

The current waiting time for such funerals is about eight days.

The findings of a review into the situation were presented to the city council on Tuesday night.

It then voted in favour of recruiting extra staff and extending opening hours. The changes will double the number of cremations here.

Cremations now account for 18% of all funerals in Northern Ireland.

Current staffing levels at Roselawn had been described as "totally inadequate to meet the demand".

A review by the council's Parks and Leisure Committee found some funerals were delayed by up to eight days because of poor staffing levels, which caused "additional distress to bereaved families".

The changes, agreed by the council, are expected to lead to a jump in the number of cremations and triple the income of the crematorium.

I went to a couple of cremations yesterday to get a feel for it but I've gone off the idea. There's bound to be another way.

DOn't die..............in any event don't worry about it, it won't bother you in any way what they do to your body after you die.

The man wanting his body left in the attic after he died is a messed up scenario.
