Belated happy birthday ONeill. I didnt know that once you approach middle age, you start to question your own morals.

Orior's Tip: When approaching anyone begging on the street, get in there first by asking if they could lend you 50p.

QuoteIf Hitler was in need of CPR would you give it to him? I would give it to Hitler.

Reminds me of the story when Hitler went to heaven and he said to Jesus,   "look, I know that you saw what happened below and I don't come here with the highest credentials but will you please let me in and not send me to hell.  If you let me in I will bestow on you the highest honour any German could ever bestow on anyone, The Iron Cross" and Jesus said "hold on there a minute while I go in and ask me Da" so he went in to God the Father and he said "Da, theres a German outside and he sez if I let him in he will give me the Iron Cross" and the father said, " Come in oura that son and close that gate, shur when you had the wooden one you weren't able for it let alone an iron one"
" Laois ? You can't drink pints of Guinness and talk sh*te in a pub, and play football the next day"

Some thought provoking thoughts which are well thought out.

Personally, someone going to Africa to help build a few outhouses has equal value to keeping an old lonely woman company in her house in Longford. I do not mean to be controversial but sometimes I see these charity all nighters and it shows boys in Uganda sitting about and there's no roads. Should the boys not be building the roads with rubble instead of waiting for The Iceman to come over and do it for them.

Cant said that if you take satisfaction from your good deed then it's not a wholly moral judgement. I agree. From now on I'm not going to do anything for anyone if I feel good about it. Last night I turned down a young child who wanted sponsorship for keeping quiet. I asked him what it was for and he said To Save The Irish Mink. I have a close love for the mink so I told him to go away. If he had said the Croatian Elephant then yes, I would have sponsored him because I know nothing about them and don't care. But because I'd feel good about saving the Irish Mink I told him to bugger off and never darken my door again. My Cantian principles are going to guide me now.
