it would have been nice to see duane come out and say he wouldnt like to see brogan miss the final over his red card,as mccdonnell did with cadogan ,but duane showed last week he is nothing more than a cheat.
Its sickening alright to see that in gaelic games. To take a dive like that to try and con officials to get a man sent off. Then the grin on his face as he applauded the red card decision. Duane showed what type of character he is.

He's a cheat and I hope he's remembered for such.

Players should not be coming out saying these types of things as it will result in players trying to get each other off when they should be punished. Suspensions etc. should be left to the officials.

I saw the Duane incident and thought he made a lot of it alright, although I would like to see a replay. Was this caught on video? Gilroy said on Galway Bay FM afterwards that they would be checking the video but from what I remember, there were no cameras opposite the stand for the match so maybe it wasnt recorded?

Players shouldn't be hitting the deck when they're acting the maggot off the ball and the non-agressor pushes you away. It's a pity and somewhat ironic that video evidence has been inconsistently used to punish Dublin before yet it can't exonerate Brogan.

The Galway player involved should be ashamed of himself.

I fully agree but it doesnt take away from my point that players coming out saying other players should not be suspended etc. is not the way forward.

Was this caught on video? If so, then it should be reviewed. But I dont think players should be coming out saying, "Oh He shouldnt be suspended etc," - I just think it could get out of hand after a while and come too common.

At the time, I thought Duane made a real meal of it, Brogan did put put his hand but nothing major (And certainly not a red card offence).
