What did the sons of Roisin die for?
And what did Columba mcVeigh die for ?

Cue question about 1922.
Because  you can't answer the second question.

For what died the Sons of Roisin? Well, it wasn't for a 26 county gombeen republic semi-ruled by Germany. Or to answer you with a couple more lines from that great Luke Kelly poem:

"Will German, French or Dutch inscribe the epitaph of Emmet?
When we have sold enough of Ireland to be but strangers in it."

"To whom do we owe our allegiance today?
To whom do we owe our allegiance today?
To those brave men who fought and died that Róisín live again with pride?......
Or the faceless men who for Mark and Dollar,
Betray her
to the highest bidder?"

And the answer to your question which I supposedly "can't answer": He died for nothing and his death was in no way justifiable (as I have repeatedly said).

Do you hold the Old IRA in disdain Seafoid?
Old IRA, new IRA, dissident IRA, continuity IRA, real IRA, Popular Front of Judean IRA...
Wankers all.
