Galbally wiped the floor with us yesterday and did a similar job on Desertmartin last week. Id say they will win the Intermediate hands down.

Just a few general knowledge questions as I know feck all about Ulster clubs besides seeing the odd game around Monaghan

Do people feel these leagues are a benifit to clubs or are there pressures on the county fixtures with extra games and also the added costs of travels etc around Ulster. How do you qualify or enter? Are all 9 counties represented and do County players play ?

Mike,
The league is open to all Senior clubs in Ulster and there is an Intermediate competition as well. No qualification needed...you pays your money (200 yo yos I think) and away you go. There is a limited uptake from Ulster clubs though. I have attached the 1st round of games to give you an idea of who's involved. No Donegal or Monaghan teams this year though they have been represented in the past. I think it is a great bonus to have a competition like this at the start of the year as it is really just a well organised series of friendlies and takes a lot of the work out of the clubs' hands.

As for county players we havent used Murtagh in one game in the league.....ever .....even though we have faced Errigal CiarĂ¡n and Ardboe with Canavan and the McGuigans playing...different counties have different policies although I don't think county players are prohibited.

We beat Johnnys in the Quarter Final 0-9 to to 0-7.

Does that mean there are 4 Derry teams in the Semi Finals??

Are Galbally & Loughmacrory in Intermediate final? If so, I'd imagine Galbally will win handy enough by alot of the talk i'm hearing Galbally should do the Intermediate double and it'll be a battle for second in Tyrone Div 2!
