I post here very irregularly but I thought I would ask you to spare a thought or some prayers for the family of a young man from my own club who passed away recently. Ian was only 23 but had been suffering from cancer for a couple of years. He was a smashing young player and a great all rounder. It seems only yesterday that he was arguing with refs at the Dublin Feile where he was instrumental in us getting to the semis.

RIP Ian

Non of us will ever be prepared for such sudden incidents and they touch everyone. we can only pray for the lad and the family in question and hope that it never blackens our own door.

RIP Ian
