Have to do a weeks work in Letterkenny in a few weeks time and bringing the better half with me. We'd ideally like to stay in a self catering accomodation (that would have to be pet friendly). Had a quick look and there seems to a nice place that has 2 cottages - The Barn and Alder Cottage (the address is Newmills).

Just wondering if anyone had any other idea of somewhere nice to stay for the week - thanks....

Friend of mines family owns/runs these. About 20 mins out of LK. We go for a week every year. Absolutely spectactular spot.

if you are up in letterkenny get a copy of the dealer (free adds paper) usually loads of adds in there.

Also check out the donegal section on boards.ie    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=948

also www.letterkennyonline.com might be of some use

And I'd thoroughly recommend either of these two (owned by a lovely couple and very pet friendly - next to one of Irelands last remaining Oak woodlands and fantastic sea views).

This website is also run by family I linked earlier in the thread, covers their own cottages plus others in the general area. Check out full list, their cottages are the first listed. At the risk of sounding like an advertisement ring them if you are interested, I'd say they be very pretty flexible on price at this time of year...
