Could have been worse. Apparently this lot were looking to sponsor Tyrone too:

This is a subject that always goes over my head. Apart from not giving a small spit what any jersey looks like or seeing any relevance at all in the discussion, I can't participate, even if I wanted to, because I don't understand the basics. This thread has people condemning the latest Tyrone jersey as "absolutely horrible" and "terrible looking", whereas some previous one "looked well".

What are the criteria? What should I know about what makes a jersey look well and what makes it "absolutely horrible"? It can't be the colours because every Tyrone Jersey, for instance, is white and red (except the ones that are red and white). So how does one arrangement of white and red look better than another? Is it the logo? Maybe it is in some cases, but the majority of judgements I see handed down seem to be logo-neutral. Stripes, hoops, rings, etc. - what's good and bad here? Collar/no collar - does that count? Long or short sleeves? Or am I missing the point completely and there's some overriding criterion that I don't even know about - cut, or shape or something? Help.

Even if I study diligently and learn all these things, there's still the one big puzzle left. Why does it matter?

It matter to all the poor souls constantly having to pay £40 or €50 euro for a new one every season or two.

Hardy, it's style and aesthetics man. What makes one blue shirt nicer than another?

Jinxy

Why do people fell it is necessary to constantly buy new jerseys?
Just get a retro one and you can wear it forever and still look really cool!
If you were any use you'd be playing.
