Download was great! rage against machine stole the show on the Saturday night & it poured rain on Sunday but was still great Aerosmith headlined, AC/DC on Friday did a Brilliant set the jack my personal favorite for reasons other than music  ;)

The best thing about Download is you can get as close the stage as you like no matter how big the crowd is unlike at the Irish outdoor gigs

Didn't hear any of Maiden new stuff yet

pity aces high, the trooper or phantom of the opera are not in it.
I know they have to play a lot of their newer stuff, but these arent up to the same level as most of the older songs.

A lot of people are a bit pissed off with Sweet Savage, they've been the opening act for a number of big acts recently and i guess people simply dont think they are great, they've had their time and some newer bands deserve a go. Would have been great if maybe Primordial, For Ruin or Glyder were given the opening slot.

Not exactly blown away by that set list.

By the way if your a Maiden fan check out ENforcer from Sweden, they are savage.

Sweet savage played before Metallica in Marlay park last year & apart from "Killing time" when James Hetfield came out to sing with them..there wasn't a lot of interest in them

Did you really think it was good?  ???

Thought it was hugely disappointing myself.

Sound was awful for a long time at the start. Playlist had been leaked beforehand so it wasnt surprising, but wouldnt have been 10% of their best stuff. So disappointed with that too. They didnt even do a good job on the couple of good songs they did. And they'd zero interest in getting the crowd going.

Knowing how good a Maiden concert could be, I would rate that one 3/10.

Talking to people afterwards I was amazed so many were like you. But I did manage to make most agree that yeah it wasnt great actually, by the time I'd pointed out the deficiencies!

Setlist are always leaked now, was disappointed when i discovered it many weeks ago, more of the old songs should have been played but to be fair there trying to promote the new album, sound was ok where i was (right beside the speakers  :D )
They could have put more effort into fear of the dark!

Considering it's the 1st time i saw Maiden live i thought it was a good gig & looking forward to the next gig when the Setlist will be different

We left early. Very disappointed. Sound was poor. 3/10 at best for me. In comparison to ac/dc at the same venue who were 10/10
