I've had to change laptops for business and I've more or less transferred over all the necessary stuff from the old laptop.

You know the autofill that kicks in when one starts typing in an email address in Outlook. This is very handy for me. Is there a file that I can copy over that will 'import' the remembered email addresses into the new outlook cos at the moment there are no remembered email addresses.

Thanks in anticipation

On you laptop there should be an Outlook.nk2 file

Usually - C:\Documents and Settings\**\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Just replace the ** bit with whatever your log on name is.

There is an Outlook.nk2 file in there. Copy that to the same directory in the new pc and off ya go.

That worked perfectly Declan (after a wee tweak cos both laptops have that hape-a-shite called Vista installed).

As they do on football365 by way of thanks, have a badger!

I have 40 emails to send to customers but i don't want them to see who else I've sent the information too, is there a way of hiding the rest of the recipeants from each other or will i have to send 40 individual emails
Be nice to the people you meet on the way up, because you may meet them on the way back down.

Yes, put the addresses in the Blind Carbon Copy (BCC) box.

I always thought it was beneath carbon copy.

I want to send hate mail, and would rather not use my own email address.

Do anonymous email webites actually work?

??????

If your account is just a pop3 or personal email account OutOfOffice is not available as above, it is done at server level.
In a corporate environment with Exchange Server it is possible to use the Outlook Out of Office.

If a personal account there may be an option in thr webmail side of it to turn an Out Of Office option on.
