My initial thought on the matter is that I wouldnt consider a day care provider who was a male. That said, if I met or came to know one and thought they were the best at their job - I wouldnt give it a second thought. Pre-conceptions are dangerous things. Couple of years ago I didnt think Id ever be great friends with a gay couple, but you change, grow up, grow more accepting and realise there are a lot of outdated ignorant notions out there.

accept ? ..christ....are you Tyrone lads still that backward ?

Aye, male child minders are weirdos.
Did you get touched in a special place? And I don't mean Falls Bowling and Lawn Tennis Club.
Falls Lawn Tennis and Bowling club.

No but get real here, if I ever met a male child minder, I'd be thinking "WTF is this rocket about?"
A fella I used to work with went back to college to train as a midwife (or midhusband?!). Strange.

There would be several of those, would there not?  I'd have to admit my first reaction would be "hmm that's a bit strange" but really, thinking about it, what's so strange about it?  Like you boys saying you wouldn't leave your children to be minded by a man, you'd leave them at football training or some other activity with a man. when they go to school you'd think nothing of them having a male teacher so what's the difference?

If you ask me male gynecologists would be the strangest of the whole lot.
Which one of you bitches wants to dance?

Given that it seems to involve shoving a size 5 O'Neill's ball through a badly designed nostril, I have no view on them whatsoever. None at all.  No siree bob. Nothing to see here. Where's me valium?

The midwife is a dying breed over here - now it is all OBGYNs and hospital Drs. A friend of mine who has only been practising medicine for 2 years told me a few weeks ago he has delivered about 200 kids.

We are that backwards indeed.

We will take that level though, given that we've yet to line up for a bit of rapist handshaking.
