Bouncer exposed himself at Queen's student union barA security guard has been found guilty of exposing himself to a woman at a student union bar in Belfast.

Belfast Magistrates' Court was told that Paul McCamley confronted the woman outside toilets at Queen's University Students' Union in June last year.

He was employed at the premises as a door supervisor at the time of the offence.

The 34-year-old, from Green End, Newtownabbey, County Antrim, will be sentenced next month.

The woman said she had been out with friends at a pub quiz in one of the students' union bars when the defendant approached her.

The court heard she was left "shaking, shocked and ashen-faced" after McCambley said "I have got something you would like to see," and exposed his genitals.

McCamley, who was employed by a private firm to carry out security duties at the bar, denied the exposure charge and claimed instead to have rejected her advances.

He told the court he had first encountered the woman when she fell outside the premises and accepted being in the same bar as her towards the end of the night when his shift was over.

According to his account, they then encountered each other again outside the toilets.

McCamley claimed that she asked him if he was single and then started to get "amorous".

He said the allegation that he had exposed himself was "untrue" and claimed instead that he had told the woman to leave him alone, swearing at her twice.

When the prosecution asked him why he thought the woman would make up the accusation, McCamley said: "I don't know - maybe being rejected."

District Judge Ken Nixon rejected an application by the defence for the case to be thrown out and ruled: "I'm satisfied on the facts of case beyond reasonable doubt as to the guilt of this defendant."

If it's his word against hers how the hell can the judge sentence him and even if he did do it surly you wouldn't imprisoned for showing some girl your todger (afterall them students wouldn't be no stranger to a bit of that)

Surprised by the decision myself, the Judge is 'satisfied on the facts of case beyond reasonable doubt as to the guilt of this defendant', based on her claims?  Bit of a joke to be honest, a woman can make anything up and a fella can get convicted with minimal evidence.

what about that case in listowel where the bouncer was jailed for doing the girl and 50 men including the local priest lined up to shake his hand in the dock

was in yesterday's IN that she is suffering fierce intimidation and the priest was hauled up by the bishop over it - anyone hear anything more on this?

agree, after reading a news article on the incident we are in a much better position to pass judgement than the judge who sat through the whole trial.

Fair enough and it's obvious there was more said in court to convice the Judge but there was no mention of witnesses and thats why it sounded like her word against his :-\

Bouncers in the union are kunts anyway. Seen one of them put the boot in a boy who was being held on the ground by three other bouncers one night. It was a real cowardly act
