Jez, must have been the worst game of anything I've watched in years....and a final. Best laugh was Cyril Farrell talking the game up at the end.

Wasn't great alright, a lot of bunching, hoking and poking, Galway the better team though and deserved the win.

The intermediate game on before it was a better game, some great scores in it with the ref spoiling it by giving a non free to Galway near the end which they pointed and that forced Limerick to have to go for goals which didn't come off.

Cyril knows his stuff, hurling, camogie etc, etc, He's been involved with some teams in his time, underage, adult, no makey up stuff from him.

Fear Bun Na Sceilpe

was a poor game alright but the intermediate was enjoyable. The senior was like watching a lot of recent football games (bar Mayo and Dublin), persistent fouling, slow and short on good scores.

There's hope for Tony Browne yet! Well done Galway and Therese Maher.

Delighted for Therese made her debut at 16 & after 16 years of trying she finally won the big one. My brother was in college with her in Athlone sound girl.
The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Thought she was older than 32, but she looked fit enough to continue for a few more years.
