Dick Clerkin or Rory Woods for Monaghan. Animals...  ::)

Dick Clerkin yeah, had a good few battles with Fergal Doc a few times, but Rory Woods is just a smaller version of Geoffrey Mcgonigle  ;D ;D

Doc threw him round liike a ragdoll

Yeah big Doc can give a hit!  :D :D

I think Charlie put him on his back side up in Celtic park this year. In turn Neil Gallagher hit Charlie a quare thud in Cross in the league!

The player I can think of that I wouldn't fancy coming up against is Donal Og!  ;) :P

Jinxy

Ye Ulster boys are always over-estimating how big and strong your players are.
Everyone is "Big Fergal" or "Big Dick" etc.
If you were any use you'd be playing.

Sign of a strong man imo is the ability to take a hit and get up.

Very few and far between in the game today.

Ambrose Rodgers took a hit which ruptured his spleen, in Croke Park v. Wexford 2 years ago.  He went down, but never lost control of the ball, got up again and took his shot at the posts, then went down to be carried off to the hospital where he got emergency surgery to remove his spleen to save his life.  That seems like a "strong man" to me!

In Fairness there a re few that put Ambrose Rodgers on his hole. Usually its the other way about. Has serious power. Who was the unfortunate Kerry player that tried to body check him on saturday last. He played a ball out of defence, went for the return only to be blocked off by someone but they were duly scattered.
