We up in Down would love a crack at ye. After all we always beat Kerry easily in Championship football.
But we would nt care who we got if we made a quarter final. ;D

Kerry Mike

A handy game for same team, we are there for the bating now, No Darragh, Tomas, Galvin, Kennelly, Tommy Walsh or Diarmuid Murphy from last year's quarter final when we ripped the Jackeens asunder, we have never lost a Quarter final yet, but it will take a huge effort to keep that 10 year record intact this year, whoever we play.
2011: McGrath Cup
AI Junior Club
Hurling Christy Ring Cup
Munster Senior Football

Mickey Harte loves challenges. We've beaten Kerry in All-Ireland finals, semi-final - now for a quarter. If Mickey had any sense he'd stick Hub at FF v Monaghan, lose the game by 5-6 and tear into Kerry after beating Down again.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

When are the QF's ? ... can't find it anywhere.
Who and when do the Leinster champions play ?
And are the QF's an open draw  .... e.g.: if Meath win Leinster could they end up playing Louth in the QF's (i think this changed a few years back but can't recall for sure)

& yes it was changed since 2001 when we had to play Galway again, four round 4 winners takes on the 4 provincial winners on July 31st August 1st & bank holiday monday the 2nd
The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

The quarter finals are provincial champions against the four qualifiers, "subject to the provincial champions not meeting the beaten finalists from their own province".

Main Street

The semi final fixtures appear to have some pre-determination.

29.08.10  LEINSTER V MUNSTER
22.08.10  CONNACHT V ULADH

How does it work out say if (God forbid) there no Ulster team in the semi finals, would a Leinster team be paired with the team that defeated the Ulster team in the 1/4 finals?

omagh_gael

Main street, the qualifier who beat the ulster final winner in their qf will go on to to play either the connacht winner or their qualifier in the semi.

Main Street

Thanks.

More curious than jumping ahead of my station ;D

Yeah yeah yeah...I'm going to send Mickey Harte a link to this thread and he can pin it up in the dressing room to motivate the troops! :)

I think it might be an idea,   Mickey is sure  running out of ways and means to motivate that bunch of old codgers.
