Really? He scored two points against Monaghan...

A week after Monaghan got duffed in the USFC final....

Oh I see JD's failure in front of the posts was because Ulster got ahem duffed in the Ulster final, interesting....

As I've already stated, Im very worried about Kildare and would have been much happier taking on Meath. Have already given a list of reasons why I think Kildare are in good shape going in against us, but if we can get past Kildare..................well.................we don't lose AL Finals, do we?  8)

I dunno. I do share some of your apprehension, but I see signs for optimism too.

I think Johnny Doyle is tailor made for Dee Rafferty. Not overly physical or overly fast.

If we can keep him down to 2 or 3 points, then Kildare will struggle I feel.

Of course, Kieran McGeeney knows a thing or two about organising defenses, so how well our forward line fares remains to be seen.

If we can play like we did for the first 20 against Tyrone, we're more than fit for anyone.
Or they could at like they did for the remainder of that match when Marty Clarke couldn't have scored if the posts were the width of the pitch. Inconsistent.

Bananaman apologies for calling you a clown. I have no idea if you have oversized feet or a red nose.

I think your point you were trying to make was that Kildare won despite JD only scoring a couple of points.... not that JD was poor because Monaghan did not win the USFC.

While I am pointing out that they beat a demoralised Monaghan team that got a pasting from Tyrone the week before. That will not be the case at the end of August. Time and space to shoot will be significantly reduced.

Letting my heart rule my head here, but Sam will be coming across the border once more after a repeat of the 94 final.

The Dubs have built a momentum and have come to a system that suits them perfectly through the back door and I think stylistically they are a perfect match for a recently unimpressive Cork side whose physical prowess will be met head on. Cork's hard direct running through the middle third of the field will be perfect for Dublin and they'll take a 2 point win.

Pretty wide open in my view. Don't like the bonus territory talk with Dublin. This is the best chance we're going to get with Kerry out. Think Kildare will beat Down myself. I would have Kildare as favourites for the all-ireland at present with Cork behind them. I think Dublin and Down are on a similar playing field. But kildare were excellent yesterday. Outstanding in fact.

I wasn't making any point just think it's funny that people actually think by stopping JD that you stop Kildare, you do realise Alan Smith and James Kavanagh were nominated for All-Stars last year and that pair were in the top 10 scorers last year from play and now we have added Eoghan O'Flaherty to the mix not to mention O'Neill, Sweeney and Callaghan (1-4 against Derry) to the mix. It's an out-dated cliche about Kildare, up there with we love to hand-pass, we're a soft touch etc etc...

To beat Kildare you have to beat us in midfield foremost, only Louth have achieved that and that was one reason why we lost that game, do the Down midfield worry me, if I'm honest no but it's 4 weeks away I'm just enjoying our quarter final win plenty of time for shite talk later in the month...

My gut says and my semi final money will be on the first ever All Leinster final with Kildare shading it narrowly.

Reckon its worth €30 anyway.  What would be the odds?

2.22 & 1.75 on Betfair. Equates to roughly 2.9/1

I hope Kildare the wait since 1928 is long enough, others have all won it in the 90s, the only reason why Cork haven't won it since 1990 is Kerry & with them now out they have to fancy there chance's,
The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open
